Simon & Garfunkel consisted of Paul Simon (singer-songwriter) and Art Garfunkel (singer). The dynamic duo met back in 1953 in Queens, New York where they started to write original material and harmonize together. I guess those initial harmonies worked because in 1960 they became one of the best-selling music groups, as well as counterculture icons of their decade. “The Sound of Silence”, “Mrs. Robinson”, “Bridge over Troubled Water”, and “The Boxer”, are just some of their biggest and most well-known songs to date.
